Short-Term Stay After Hospital Admission
Patients that have been admitted to a hospital for a minimum of three nights may have the option for a short-term stay in our center to receive 24-hour Nursing care and Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy up to seven-days each week. Patients may also request a short-term Respite in-patient stay for periods of a few days to several months.

In-Patient Residential Stay
Patients that require a permanent in-patient stay may be admitted from the Hospital, Assisted Living Facility or Home after receiving an admission order from their primary physician.

Specialty Programs

It's still not clear what maybe causing them, however the entire team from Abi, Pam, Sandra, to all the nurses and aides have all been overwhelmingly gracious, compassionate, considerate, helpful and supportive in everyway possible. The therapist are all first class, their knowledge and experience and positive aggressive approaches have definitely made a difference in the progress my wife has made in her journey to recovery. [review] => I have been very pleased with my Two week stay at Zebulon Rehab facility. The admissions director Pam was very helpful in setting up my admission and was waiting for me to arrive. She met with me as soon as I got there and followed me to my assigned room to make sure everything was ok. Pam was able to get me into a private room within two days of my arrival and continued to check on me frequently. Everyone in this facility is very attentive and strives to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The Director of Nursing Sandra has also checked on me from time to time. All of the PT and OT folks are first class and have shown a lot of interest in helping me get back on my feet and walking again. All the Nurses, CNA,s and all staff from the kitchen to the maintenance person Steve have been wonderful.The facility is not new but is well maintained.

[review] => My brother in law was there from Friday to Sunday, after having hip surgery. He is 90 years old and has early dementia. During that 3 days, he fell 2 times; despite warnings that he may try to get out of bed. He was not xrayed until the wound care nurse saw him after the 2nd fall. He had several skin tears on his arms. The rehab nurses wrapped his arms in gause and the gause dried in the wound. At the hospital they had to give him morphine to clean get the gause out!
Just he was sent to the hospital from the falls, we discovered the patient in the room beside his had covied. The nurses were going in and out with no masks, or masks under their chin, so now I have Covid, my sister, and brotherly have covid!!

[review] => I chose Zebulon Rehab for my dad after a hospital stay, and it turned out to be a great decision. It was the only place on the list of possibilities that had decent rating and reviews, but our experience was even better than I had hoped. The staff is, without exception, absolutely wonderful. They showed a deep level of care and caring from the moment we got there to the day we left. Everyone is engaged and active in caring for patients, and the vibe is always positive and energetic. I chose Zebulon Rehab despite it not being very convenient (30 minute drive), but it was well worth the extra gas to know he was well taken care of. Highly, highly recommended!

The rooms were small, but clean. The food was well-prepared. There were multiple activities for the residents.
The PT staff did a great job helping her regain mobility so she could go home. I would recommend Zebulon rehab for short or long-term care.

[review] => Stay away from Zebulon Rehab!!! My dad was there for 24 hours!!! He fell twice and had to be sent to the ER. The staff seems incredible/caring when you are looking at the facility, but once you are there they do a 180 degree turn. I am still waiting for a callback from Christy (Admissions) after my dad's second fall. After the first fall, I called the nurse and she said she my dad was doing fine and she just gave him insulin. I was livid, I said my dad does not take insulin. She then put me on hold and said she thought I was someone else. To top it off, they had my dad's name flipped. I corrected them four times and they never changed it. Once I went to the ER, the records were all messed up. It took forever to get the insurance cleared.

Our loved one has been a resident there for nearly 2 years and everyone, from administration to the rehab and nursing staff, has been unwavering in providing a clean, safe and homey environment while also ensuring professional clinical care. [review] => I HAD A MAJOR STROKE IN APRIL 2017.I WAS IN REHAB FIRST AT REX. THEY DECIDED I NEEDED ACUTE REHAB. MY LEFT ARM . LEFT LEG AND SPEECH WERE AFFECTED SEVERLY'.I WAS SENT TO DURHAM REGIONAL WHERE I WAS GIVEN REHAB. DURHAM AND REX IN RALEIGH WERE EXTREMELY HELPFUL TO ME. SINCE I WAS SO FAR FROM HOME, I LIVE IN KNIGHTDALE, I WAS ABLE T BE TRANSFERED TO ZEBULON REHAB IN ZEBULON NC. I STAYED THERE APROX 3MONTHS. MY EXPERIENCE THERE HAS BEEN EXCEPTIONAL. ALL OF THE EMPLOYEES FROM THE MAID TO MANAGMENT SEEM TO TAKE AN INTEREST IN YOUR CARE AND COMFORT. THE THERAPIST OT,PT.AND SPEECH SEEM TO BE WELL QUALIFIED AND CONCERNED FOR YOUR RECOVERY.

[review] => My father was sent here for rehabilitation and did not receive good care. When we brought him hone , he started hurting that night and when we brought a nurse in from Kindred home health care, she checked his catheter and we found out it was very nasty and the nurse informed us that it was old and had not been changed in a long time. The CNA'S there are very nice and helpful but the nurses and physical therapists don't show compassion or proper care.

[review] => Zebulon Rehabilitation Center has been fantastic so far. They're taking care of my father quite well and they're making sure he's going through his therapy and eating three times a day. The staff have been very cooperative and pleasant to deal with. I don't have any complaints as of yet, and he's been there for three months now. My dad loves to eat and I haven't heard my dad complain about the food. They also have activities for the residents like Bingo and karaoke. The place is clean and doesn't have that old smell that other places have.

[review] => Catheter changes go well beyond the recommended 2 to 4 weeks; latex used on patients with latex allergies; feeding tube turned black - tested at hospital lab - fungal found from improper care; do not change patient diapers timely; receive phone calls from family member at all hours of the day and night because of pain and/or dirty diapers; repeated problem with theft; some of the nurses are just down right rude and have no business in healthcare. Have brought these problems to management repeatedly and nothing changes.The people that have been there that actually do care about the patients and are qualified don't stay because management is so unresponsive. I wouldn't want these people to pet sit my dog.

I so appreciate the work Pam put in to get my mom into this facility. I must have called 40 rehabs and hospitals in the area to try and find a place for my mom and every one was at capacity or wouldn’t accept her for ridiculous reasons.

My wife has received outstanding care and compassionate attention from all the nurses, nurse's aides, therapist and the rest of their staff. A very compassionate, care and understanding facility including their therapist.
